I had a very serendipitous encounter earlier. I have recently become very addicted to Yahoo! Answers couple this with my helpful (and gullible?) nature, I found myself responding to an asker looking for Asian contacts for homework help. This happened I think 3 days or so ago.
Fastforward to yesterday... Or was it just this morning, I received an invitation in YM. Being naturally cautious (ok that's a contradiction right there), I accepted with some trepidation, knowing that I can always block or choose to ignore if the person turned out to be some creepo.
A while ago, this same person YMd me. I totally forgot who she/ he was until she reminded me about that Yahoo! Answers I replied to. This is where it started getting crazily funny. Turns out the asker is studying in the very same high school I graduated from! She even have the same teacher I had when I was taking that subject! To make the connection even stronger (weirder) she even turned out to be related to a batchmate of mine! It was quite fun somewhat reminiscing about my very fun highschool days.
Though I didn't end up helping her (she needed somone from another country), she sure did help me. She made me remember my not so distant past. She reminded me how much fun I had in highschool - fun memories that just needed to be unearthed even for a few moments.
